R A Nasi Lemak

Had to leave extremely early for work yesterday as I had to send wifey to work as my cousin who's leaving for the Land of Kiwis borrowed her car to get to the airport yesterday evening.

Since I was already in the vicinity of my office about 8 a.m., RA Nasi Lemak beckoned me to stop as I drove past. I don't usually eat nasi lemak for breakfast but the huge crowd who thronged the place yesterday morning somehow enticed me to stop for a plate! Made three rounds to find a parking spot and found one at a back alley.

Business is really brisk for RA Nasi Lemak and if you popped by by 11 a.m. lunch is already served and nasi lemak all gone!

A relatively clean stall stationed in front of a 1950s/60s house along Jalan Raja Abdullah (quite near to the first entry to AKLEH (Ampang-KL Elevated Highway) and diagonally opposite Wisma RKT, nasi lemak served there is steamed. Sambal is hot but equally sweet - in other words just right if you like your sambal sweet (I know wifey doesn't!!!). There's an array of dishes to go with and the fried chicken (marinated with spices) there is brill!
BTW, try add on sambal sotong (squid) (minus the squids unless you love squids) to the plain sambal in the proprtion of 1:2! That's how I'd take my sambal here!

The steamed nasi lemak in a huge wooden tub lined with banana leaves!

Variety of dishes and fried chicken is to die for!

Special request, next time, please take a close picture of the foodies. I would love to see your food closer. Especially the one with banana leaves. There is no such thing here in Istanbul.
